About the firm

Source Material was created to provide independent artists and producers with the same caliber of legal counsel as the studios they're negotiating against.

Sophisticated legal advice should not be a luxury. We bring senior legal experience working with studios, streaming platforms, and broadcasters to help our clients establish a strong legal foundation to protect and future proof their work. Based in Toronto, we work with clients internationally creating with Canadians.

Tara Chown has spent over a decade negotiating entertainment deals in film and television.
